Greetings RYFC Families,

RYFC’s No. 1 priority is the health and safety of our athletes, coaches and families; we hope this email finds you all healthy and safe.  We understand that the current news and uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 situation may have caused you to re-think your spring sports options.  Whether you have already registered your child or are planning to, we will do whatever we can to support you.  We are continually monitoring the situation, including public gathering restrictions that may impact you.

Your safety:

We highly recommend our families follow the health advice of relevant authorities.  As we continue to monitor and adhere to the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov) and local public health officials (www.ridgefieldct.org), we have decided to put our spring flag football season on HOLD.  We will make a decision in the next week or two to either, cancel the season altogether, or postpone it to start at a later date with a shortened season.

If you have already registered your child:

There is no need to request a refund yet.  If the season is canceled, we will refund your entire registration fee.  If the beginning of the season is postponed, we will refund a prorated amount.  We also recognize the economic hardship that has been placed on most families at this time.  If you require an immediate refund, please reach out to our Director of Registration, Jon Moore, at   as soon as possible and we will refund your fee entirely.  We will also leave your child enrolled in our spring program so you will continue to receive any updates regarding the season.

If you haven’t registered your child yet:

You still can, at no cost!  This way you can continue to receive updates about the season; just register your child and don’t pay, it will NOT be deleted.

The Coronavirus outbreak is a rapidly changing situation from a public health perspective; we are committed to keeping you informed and to taking care of you as a member of our RYFC family.

We expect to have an answer within the next week or two about the spring season, in the meantime, we wish you all safety and good health, and remember….

We Are in This Together!

If you have any questions or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at:

Stay safe and well, yours sincerely,

RYFC President Mike McCormick and the entire RYFC Board
